Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to your questions and get clarity on everything you need to know about our tests, process, and results. Our wellness sensitivity approach looks at how your body may interact with certain foods, helping you notice possible response patterns tied to how you feel day to day.
It doesn’t diagnose allergies or medical conditions — instead, it gives you clarity and direction to make confident, personalized choices about your nutrition and wellness.*
We use a small hair sample because it’s known to be a stable, non-invasive, and convenient way to gather long-term wellness information. Hair may naturally retain a record of your body’s exposure to different elements over time, helping us identify possible wellness patterns related to foods, nutrients and digestive wellness. It’s quick and simple to get started — and our turnaround time is among the fastest in the industry, so you can receive wellness insights without the wait.*
Don’t worry — color, treatments, or bleach won’t affect your wellness analysis.
Just make sure your hair is clean and free of products like gels, sprays, or anything metallic (except for using scissors when taking your sample.)
Shampoo and conditioner are fine to use before collecting your sample.
No hair, no problem! We also accept facial or body hair.
Please provide 10 strands at least 0.5 inches long. If the hair is shorter, provide 20 strands instead.
Hair must be clean and free of products or any metallic residues. You may use scissors to take your hair sample.
If you choose to adjust your diet based on your results, consider a short trial period — for example, a few weeks (we often suggest up to 12 weeks) — to see how your body may respond to those changes. During that time, pay attention to how you feel and note any shifts in your overall well-being.*
Always consult with your medical professional before making any changes to your diet and health routine.
No. If you’re trying to understand why your body reacts right now — within minutes or hours — allergy testing is the right tool for that job. It looks at how the immune system responds (typically through IgE or IgG antibodies) and always requires a blood sample, not a hair sample. These reactions can range from mild to severe, which is why ruling out allergies with a qualified healthcare professional is always the smart first step.*
That’s not what we do. Our tests don’t measure immune or antibody activity and can’t detect allergies — nor are they intended to. Instead, they explore possible long-term wellness patterns related to foods, nutrients, or environmental factors that may influence how you feel over time.*
While allergies happen fast, sensitivities may develop gradually — sometimes over days, weeks, or months. Understanding these patterns can help you make more informed decisions about your diet, lifestyle, and daily wellness.*
The fine print:
This is a general wellness tool, not a medical test or diagnosis. It’s not designed to treat, cure, or prevent disease. Always work with a qualified healthcare provider for anything medical — especially allergy concerns.*
Absolutely! Children under the age of 6 experience rapid developmental changes, and their food and wellness responses can shift more frequently as they grow. For this reason, it’s often helpful to consider periodic re-testing to observe possible wellness patterns over time.*
Note:Â This is not an allergy test. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for any allergies, medical conditions, or health concerns.*
